Terms of Service

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Welcome to Waaait. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Waaait is operated by an individual developer, not a registered company; if anything here is unclear, contact m3nhan@gmail.com.

1. What Waaait is

Waaait is an app for leaving letters for close friends on a map, at the places you remember. A friend sees your pin on their map and reads the letter — from anywhere, or only when they are at the spot if you choose. It’s designed for small circles of real-life connections, not public discovery.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to use Waaait. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You sign in using your Google account. You’re responsible for keeping your Google account secure — anyone with access to it can access your Waaait account. Let us know at m3nhan@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the letters, photos, questions, and other content you create. By posting content, you grant Waaait a limited license to store, transmit, and display that content as needed to operate the service (for example, delivering your letter to its recipient, or showing your photo on your Space to your connections).

You’re responsible for what you send. Don’t use Waaait to send content that is illegal, harassing, threatening, or that violates someone else’s rights or privacy. Because Waaait connects real people who already know each other, we trust the community to use it in the spirit it’s intended — but we may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

5. Location features

Waaait includes features where you can drop a pin to leave a letter at a real-world location, and where a letter can be set to open only when the recipient is at that spot. You’re responsible for your own safety and judgment when using these features in the physical world — use good sense about where you leave a letter and how you get to a pin, especially regarding private property, weather, and personal safety. Waaait is not responsible for anything that happens while you’re out in the physical world using these features.

6. Notifications

We may send you notifications (push and/or email) about activity relevant to you, such as a new letter or question. Notification content is intentionally kept spoiler-free — we won’t reveal what’s inside a letter or question ahead of time.

7. Account termination

You can stop using Waaait at any time. To request deletion of your account and data, email m3nhan@gmail.com (see our Privacy Policy for details). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Service availability

Waaait is a personal project, not a commercial product backed by a company with uptime guarantees. We’ll do our best to keep the service running and your data safe, but we don’t guarantee the service will always be available, error-free, or permanent. We recommend not treating Waaait as your only copy of anything irreplaceable.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Waaait is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of Waaait is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify users through the app.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
